Learning Green Social Work in Global Disaster Contexts: A Case Study Approach

Green social work (GSW) is a nascent framework within the field that provides insights regarding workers’ engagement in disaster settings. Although this has recently garnered more attention, it remains under-researched and underdeveloped context of research, education, practice Canada internationally. To further develop GSW education professional training, we considered how students practitioners can use learning to understand impact build their capacities serve vulnerable marginalized populations diverse do this, developed four-step case study approach, as follows: (1) provide detailed background information on cases, (2) describe each relevant work, (3) discuss informs from perspective, (4) recommendations for using future disaster-specific efforts.
